To oversee standards of training and practice at all levels in the field of Paediatrics and Child Health

Intervention

Participate in technical review and upgrading of the paediatric training programs of health cadres such as medical officers, house officers, clinical officers and nurses in South Sudan.”]Activities:

  • Reviewing and analyzing existing paediatrics programs and submits the recommendations for improving and upgrading the programs to the relevant authorities (training institutions, and ministry of higher education).

  1. Identify disparities in paediatrics guidelines and approaches
  2. Set up harmonization committee
  3. Develop the harmonize guidelines and approaches
  4. Support the implementation of the developed guidelines and approaches
  5. Develop a tool to track implementation and result

Monitor implementation[/rt_accordion_style_item][rt_accordion_style_item radiant_accordiontitle=”3. Support in Supervision and training of all paediatric heath care providers, and ensure that it meets the international standards”]Activities:

  1. Participating in regular joint supportive supervision visits
  2. Participating in refresher and on-job training of paediatric health care providers (IMCI, ICCM, etc)
  3. Participating in setting paediatric assessment examinations for permanent registration in South Sudan General Medical Council.

  3. Assessment of training needs
  4. Tailoring the training to needs

  • The University of Juba, Medical College is old enough and it deserves post graduates in paediatrics.
